BYU Graduation (pt. III....the end)

I hate blogger. It seriously took me over 2 HOURS to do this post because of all the pictures. Blogger didn't want to let me move them around in the order I wanted them to be. They uploaded out of order because these pictures come from a variety of cameras in the family. I'll never upload pictures ever again unless someone teaches me how to USE THIS STUPID THING.

Ok so anyway...I'm also still deathly ill, and still serving food to customers. It takes all my nose-sucking power not to let my snot drip on the tables. I wash my hands every 5 seconds, but still I'm just oozing of contamination. And it must be something that's going around because a bunch of my co-workers are sick too. Come and eat at my Olive Garden, won't you?!

So graduation..........my graduating school was relatively small, but it was at 8 am....not so pleasant. Then we had to rush through family pictures so that Lindsey and Jared could get to Jared's brother's graduation, and so that Mary could get to her graduation. So those of us that were left after pictures grabbed a bite to eat at the Kennedy Center because MY school was kind and offered food and drinks for us to mingle with on another!

We finished up and made it in time to Mary's graduation which just so happened to include the school's largest major (exercise science)....so I've heard, anyway. Lucky us. So we sat through 2-3 hours of the Life Sciences graduation, then took some more pictures. After the photo-shoot was over, we headed over to Mama Chus, easily Provo's best Mexican food. I really want to go back to Provo and have another photo-shoot though because I'm not a fan of the ones by the cougar and the BYU sign. I love my family, but some of us don't know how to take pictures of others very well..... :-)

I came home and took a nap, then had to finish packing up and cleaning and move out of my apt that night because I had check-out at 10 AM Saturday morning. So I had to haul the last trip of my stuff to my Salt Lake apartment. That was at 3 am btw....so I arrived a quarter to 4, collapsed on the floor (<--that rhymed), and made it back to Provo in time for my check-out. And then I drove back to Salt Lake. It was a busy day.

Then we headed over to my cousin's house for dinner with extended family, then on Easter we had dinner with my Mom's side of the family at her sister's house. Good times. Love my family. Maybe I'll post pictures of Easter.....not. The thought of posting more pictures makes me uneasy after this whole fiasco. Good grief. The end.

As I was walking in, I was surprised by my family on the edge of the row snapping pictures at me.

The view
Another surprise: stalker Lindsey zoomed in from her seat and was snapping shots of me while some Japanese girls were doing this cool musical performance.

Yet again....here I am waiting in line to receive my diploma. That's actually a lie. I received it 4 months ago. But I did get the cover. Also, I was embarrassed and laughing at this camera situation. I guess this is what I look like when I laugh. Real attractive :-/

They coached us beforehand: "Now, make sure when you get up there to STOP and SMILE so your family can take pictures of you!" And my picture came out blurry....

Mary and Landon, bored.
The family minus Amanda and Nathan

I really wanted him to smile.

I really REALLY wanted him to smile.

I didn't realize she was making faces.

So finally (there are many other pictures of her being goofy and me just smiling away), I caught on.

Another close friend from the Arabic program, and roomie in Jordan.

DLB!!! That stands for Donna Lee Bowen. She taught of few of my Middle East classes

MAMA!!!!

Mary is 2nd from the left walking in. I had to zoom in a lot to get this, and my camera doesn't like zooming in.

Mary waiting in line for her name to be called (3rd in line, I think?)

Her professor/advisor/I don't know what his title is to her is standing just to the left wearing the Harry Potter robes. Oh wait, all the old people are.

Mary's school of Life Sciences. Not just the ground level, but that blue blob in the seats. It took WELL over an hour to call all the names. Oh and she was one of the first 5 names to be called since she was a grad student. So agonizing...

Mary's lab.

Us with Mom.
I was a tad distressed by that twig that was attached to me.

The family by the cougar at the Lavell Edwards Stadium

Ok ok ok. I look awful here. No one should ever take pictures from an angle that looks up! So bad!! My legs aren't THAT short and chunky looking. Yeah I said it. But don't think I don't know you were all thinking it! Seriously though, it was just a really bad angle. And I would have left it out except it's my only picture on it. Next time I'm in Provo, I'm bringing my graduation garb and I'm redoing this picture!!!

Had to show off our cute outfits that were hiding under the ugly blue and black blob outfits

DONE.

  1. You didn't get Landon to smile, but you got Mary to smile ;) And the picture of Mary's lab...her lab met outside of the Marriott Center? And the picture of you on the cougar, you also look pregnant ;) But at least, your butt isn't as big as the one of the lady in the picture of you and Landon (10th picture from top)! Also in the picture of you waiting to get your diploma, did you notice Lindsey got a shot of Liam?

  2. Yay congratulations you two!!! Also you should use windows live writer. It's amazing and so much easier to use and upload pictures.

  3. How do you not remember Mary's lab meeting outside of the Marriott Center??? Remember that whole extravaganza on trying to figure what they meant bell if they didn't mean the bell tower? Also, thanks mom....thanks for that, haha. And I'm not gonna lie....I did notice that lady's butt. I'm a terrible person. And yes, I noticed Liam.

Megan, I actually tried using live writer for this as well, but it was even more difficult. I could only upload one picture at a time. Any more than that, only picture would show up, and surrounding it would be little icons of what should have been the other pictures. And the one picture that would show up would be really blurry. I don't know how to explain it....it was weird. I was so frustrated with the stupid thing, haha.
