Interesting Blog Post

So... obviously I'm not gay but regardless I loved and felt like I could relate to this blog post written by the anonymous Latter-Day Saint (Mormon) writer who blogs about his struggles and determination to put aside his homosexual tendencies to live the gospel...this post focused on how to find peace in the chaos/not so perfect parts of our lives and he just puts it so perfectly that I thought our many followers should check it out too regardless of their beliefs, seems like just everyday ramblings on that topic that everyone could relate to :)

(Gay) Mormon Guy: Peace. Heavenly Peace.: "Sometimes I spend a lot of time analyzing issues in my life. I don't always feel dramatic distress, but my mind is constantly whizzing from ..."

  1. Wow what a brave guy to have a blog about being gay and LDS. That would be so so hard. But I still think he shouldn't marry a woman. That's just not fair!!

  2. Tell me about it. He is (and by is I mean = it seems to me to be this way from reading his blog posts) absolutely great and his struggle is extremely genuine and so is his faith. As someone who fades in and out as an investigator because of being gay, I get the drive he has because he is a member of the church but also cannot fathom being so committed and so torn and so invested in finding a girl.

If I were to be a member of the church I would definitely be on the celibacy bus, enjoying and fostering the relationships with the men I know and waiting out whatever changes may come. I admire him for what he is able to do, but I also hope that the better fit could come from being happily attracted to men rather than very vaguely attracted to perhaps maybe only the one woman he finds himself wanting to marry.

But then again I can't speak to his life, only my own.
